1 week before DP

Still up at 3:45 am. Just did a group assignment in advanced. What a busy busy week, with classes, tuition and dance practices. Slept at 4 am last night and dragged myself out of bed for class at 9, at 12, I went down to far east to buy the stuff for my dance and returned at 6:30 pm for dance practice. Despite the busyness, I feel contented. The thought of putting up my best during DP next Thursday spurs me on and I really want to give it my best, knowing that it'll be my last year at dance productions.

I had a really blessed week so far. I got to know Freda and Jessica even better. I shared my insecurities and fears, and some hidden secrets that less than a handful knew. It felt good letting my guard down, to have someone know the real you. I think I'm going to end my final semester with more treasured friends than I assume I would. Thanks girls, for the laughter and the listening ear. I can't believe I sat in Freda's room and talked from 9:30 to 12:30!

I miss Louie very much. He's been really busy as well. It must be because I've been telling the girls so much about him, how much we've went through. They say he's like the perfect guy -beams- BUT you know he snores!! ahhahaha.

Despite all that, I still love you dearie!

Freda and Jessica, I'm waiting for your fairytale endings too!!AND we all will!!!!!! -hugs- I had a great time this week, thank you very much!

special dedication

Hello everyone. This is meant to be a special post to my special someone. It'll be a little mushy... very mushy in fact! WARNING! Close your eyes quickly!!!!!!!!!!!! XxxXXXxxXXXxxxx
Dearie,
I know somehow you'll read this post at the end of your long day, just to keep yourself updated with what's happening since we only see each other on weekends. I'm dedicating this to you because I feel like I've been so caught up with IHG and dance production that I hardly can do anything special for you. This weekend, I really wanted to take you to a nice dinner, just the both of us. I told myself, it's alright, we had a wedding dinner to go to and so on but I can definitely take you there next week! I go my dance schedule today, and to my utter disappointment, the coming weekend is also burnt. Claudine requested to change slots on Sunday and as much as I would like to say no, I know it's really selfish just because I would like to be with you.
You've been so busy this week, yet you came to support me in my matches. Sure, you distracted me a little, but you also gave me the confidence to play harder despite the fact that you always laugh and say I look so serious when I play. This weekend, a precious one to me, I fell sick. I caved in to the stress of dance production. You came on Sunday, after soccer. You got me nice Tom Yam instant noodles, my favourite! You fell asleep beside me cause you were so tired. I watched you snore and felt this surge of warmth. You look really ugly when you sleep you know.. but I STILL love you!
Dearie, after my dance production, you'll be going off to Aussie real soon and then it's your overseas trip. I know I'll miss you very very much. Last semester, I've grown to be really independent. I'll sail through this semester with zest, because it is my final semester and I'm doing modules that I really wanted. Somehow, despite being caught up in all the busyness, I want you to know how much I appreciate you. Your horrible driving, your merciless teasing, your BO after your soccer game..
After almost 16 months together, I still feel like a silly schoolgirl. It feels so wonderful and simply to be in love. After going through the difficult times, I've come to realise how wonderful the simplicity of love is. Thank you for being the greatest boyfriend in the world! I'm tempted to get you a mug that says I'm the greatest boyfriend in the world. hehe..
Dearie, don't laugh at me when you read this okay? I hope it brings a smile to your face at the end of a busy Monday. I love you thiisssssssssssss much! :)
love,
Grace

Remedy anyone?

I've got constipation!! -wails- Someone..anyone... any solution?

Table Tennis IHG

What a stunner! We're playing in the semis on Friday! Honestly, no one really expected us to go into the semis. I heard that even the sports secretary remarked so. We lost our valuable Su Hui and Wan Xuan. Loh Hu, Jiaxi, Hannah and I were the only players left and we had to fight it out with the other halls this year.
We lost KE but won Sheares, Sheares won KE but after tabulating the scores, Eusoff and KE got in. The girls from Sheares gave their best and I really respect them for doing so. It was our surprising line-up that gave us an edge.
The last time I went to train or even held a bat was 1 year ago, during last year's IHG. The prelims was actually the first time I held my bat in a year. I was slower, less sure, less offensive but still as determined to win. I detest bad attitude when it came to a game, especially shouting annoyingly into your rival hall's players ears when they're picking up the ball. This gave me an added will to win! grrrr...
The best part of the day was that two important people in my life were here to support me today. Louie came despite being busy from work. Twin came too! All muddy and smelly, with grass stains and mud on her face! When I was into my final set, Louie appeared and waved. I was so happy, I smiled and lost 2 consecutive points.. Seela! Distraction. Thank God we got it back somehow.... Onto the semis on Fri.. If Louie comes, I must not be distracted!!!! Hmph!!
Thank you for coming twin and dearie!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Louie's B'day

Happy 26th Birthday dearie! I hope you had a great time even though it was a simple affair :)
Hello World! I'm back with more updates! Celebrated Louie's birthday over the weekend and it was top notch collaboration with my family and Louie's friends! I think I'm getting better at surprises though I blew the first one with my family. -wails-
Mummy made her specialty- Korean BBQ! This time the ingredients were so much better and I think Louie was pretty touched. Jas and Jo surprised Louie by getting him a trendy skinny tie in grey and guess what? Louie has been looking for a skinny tie!!! Thanks girls, for making the effort to buy the gift and come home for dinner despite your busy schedules. My parents didn't know what to get Louie, so they gave him a red packet instead. It felt so much like he belonged in the family and my parents adore him! -beams-
Here's just the pictures from the cake cutting..

Sunday was the big day! I was in cahoots with Louie's best friend's fiance, Evelyn. We wanted to plan a surprise for the best friends, who incidentally are born 3 days apart. Evelyn and I roped in Zaw, Tara, Flo and Vivian :) Before the surprise dinner, it was Vivian's farewell brunch at Paulaner's.
Went in Jo's pretty white dress and styled my hair a little differently. I was pleasantly surprised at the array of food that the Sunday brunch at Paulaner's offered. It was a lethal combination of meat, sausages, fish, salads and of course DESSERTS! Being a carbo addict, I downed my mashed potato. It was that good! The crisp pork knuckles, fresh vegetables and tender meat helped. They even offered a variety of sauces instead of the usual ketchup, chilli and mayo. Time to experiment and eat my fill! AND I DID! teeheehee.
Paulaner's brunch is offered on Sundays, on the 2nd level. I never knew they had brunches, let alone such a wonderful one. I thought it was just a nice pub to chillax. They offer free flow of beer to, their signature beer, for the Germans of course. It's perhaps a real ATAS brunch where the management is so thoughtful as to have a children's play corner where parents can leave their children to play while they wine and dine. I paid just $35 for it. The last time I went to Werner's oven, I paid say $32? Paulaner's brunch is worth it alrighty!!! I want to bring my sisters there!!!!!!!
There Louie was, stuffing his face into the food.. well actually, IDIDTHESAMETOO!!! -grin-
That's Viv, always looking cheerful and happy. In this case, That's because she has tiramisu!! What a pretty presentation!

That's the chef slicing off crips pork knuckles for me
Mashed potato and the 1001 kinds of sausages!

My very own concoction of dessert. Yummylicious profiteroles, german cheesecake and some good old dark chocolate from the fondue fountain.
That's chocolate cake, bread pudding and vanilla ice cream!

The play corner offered these face paints. The kids looked adorable!
Nice high celling.. very European style.
Group shot!
The 2 boys in their loud tees! One proclaims that he loves chicks, the other says " It's obvious you want me"

The man's really big!!!
And a final shot with Viv..
The next part of Louie's special day was to the movie's. It was a re-arranged plan to "bump" into Evelyn and Paul at cineleisure.. -grin- This was Evelyn's idea!! Louie was so funny! He went eh..what are you doing here... he didn't get the surprise..it was Paul, Evelyn and the movie! I rate the movie 5/5! The 3 hour movie was incredible. Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe did the movie justice.
After the movie, Evelyn and I brought the boys to Absolute Haven, a little cosy fine dining restaurant at 70 Prinsep Street, just opposite Paradiz Centre. It was ranked number 2 by hungrygowhere.com for its superb service, good food, ambience and of course its reasonable price.
Louie and Paul thought it was just the 4 of us, but well surprise!! Tara, Flo, Viv and Zaw came!!
Evelyn and I started planning around 2 weeks ago, we thought of everything. Initially, we wanted to have a surprise BBQ at VJC, ODAC style, but because we were afraid that it might rain, we thought this might be a better idea. We thought of locations like Dempsey, lovely food and ambience but it would have been pricey for the guests. Absolute Haven more than saved the day.
Just to reiterate on their excellent service. They offered strawberry iced water instead of the usual lemon ones. A pleasant experience! They were extremely polite and topped up our glasses frequently. When Flo had a headache, they even provided panadol! The surpise cake came in such a pretty presentation... I really like their service!
The sweet couple..
Zaw's entree, bacon with asparagus.

Our entree, a generous serving of seafood combo. They had this interesting pinky sauce.. it was garlic sauce I think..yummy!!!!!!
My main - the highly recommended chicken roulade, a combination of chicken thigh meat, ham and spinach.
Flo had lagsane
Viv and an in-house pie specialty.. very good Mdm!
Tara and her seafood pasta in pesto sauce! Paul's a lot like a monkey, really... a 26 year old monkey..
Gentleman Zaw and his Ribeye steak
Group shot!
Goofy b'day boys
I got a kiss from the B'day boy!

B'day boy number 2 - Paul and his fiance, Evelyn

Tara baked the cake. It was an amazing carrot cake. She said it would be sweeter if she baked a cake and she did an excellent job! The cake was light and the cream cheese icing was finger licking good! Thank you Tara.. it was really really sweet of you..
Flo and Viv.... Flo doesn't like it when Viv tickles his ear... I think Paul and Louie really enjoyed themselves. Louie was so happy and it made me happy. The simplicity of love - the desire to want to bring joy into your partner's life. At the end of the day, it is his smile that matters. :)
Dear Viv returned to Canada last night and I cried and cried. I've made a wonderful friend and I'll miss her dearly. Till May Viv... I'll take care of Flo for you... we're all waiting for you to return in May. All the best in your final semester.. -hugs-
