Acute examocitis syndrome

It's 9 A.M.. been studying and only slept 2 hours throughout the mugging session. I'm amazed at how, as students, we can always find more to revise on or practise for our examinations. It rained for hours and it was so cold. I felt like the "poor little match girl" in my room. I was cold, hungry and tired..-sobs- The strict diet regime is surfacing. My mini fridge is void of all junk food but green tea and fruit juice.. and I have no chips or chocolate bar in on my shelves. Even the weather was on my side! Just when the temptation to sprint down to 7-Eleven to buy something to stuff my growling stomach came, it rained..no it poured consecutively for 3 hours. To think I was dangerously close to buying that bar of chocolate..... phew! -big happy grin- Anyways, I had a tiny packet of gummies instead. I discovered it tucked in the corner of my drawer. Imagine my joy! I was exuberant!!!! If you've catched Ella in Hana Kimi, her friend Xiuyi once hugged a bag of chips to his chest, looking all blissful and happy because he's such a foodie. I thought I re-enacted the scene pretty well. Imagine Grace: with her hair unglamourously up in a messy ponytail and pinned up fridge, clutching that ohsotiny mini packet of gummies to her chest, grinning from ear to ear and feeling like she won a golden ticket from willy wonka. THE GUMMIES NEVER TASTED BETTER!!! WAHHHHH!!!

I think I'm severely affected by examinations. I get more talkative and mconstantly possess the urge to do something crazy like jumping out onto the A3 corridor and singing I will survive with my plastic bottle as the microphone. I even mentally choreographed the moves!!! hehe... but I suspect that the A3 girls will permanently lock me in my room for hours after the showcase. Oh wells.. someone has to appreciate my talent out there. I should just audition for Singapore Idol using my well planned stint of a song. -muahahha- I'm sorry, it's the crankiness!
I'm going to miss all these.. the equally cranky A3 girls, the late night muggings and especially the study breaks with Louis... I can't imagine my next sem.. I'll miss you girls..: Amanda, Yui Min, Shuting, Siding, Andrea, Lorraine, Jane, Qinmei...

thank you girls..

I had fun at the dance studio last night! Chermaine, Faith and Joy are such lovely girls to work with. They were diligent in learning the steps and were so hardworking! Even though the girls don't possess hiphop background, they did a pretty good job! I have to rave about their super adorable expressions when they were learning the choreo. Faith had a perpetual determined expression on her face.. it was the "I have to get this right" look, Chermaine would widen her pretty eyes when she's concentrating, and Joy had this girlish frown about her. I particularly enjoyed their witty comments, especially from Joy. She kinda reminds me of my best friend..

I can see why the three girls work well together to produce results. Despite their difference in personalities, they possess a few things in common - determination, confidence, an impressive positive attitude towards learning and not being afraid to ask something when they're unsure. I think very much of their attitude is needed in dance too. Even the most talented individual can lose out on technique if he/she doesn't practise.

To Faith: thank you for the encouragement through your sms. It really made my day! -big happy smile-

I loved how my day ended off with Calbee potato chips, tim tams and a big warm hug..

dancing, my passion, my dream..

Hello dear world, I'm still up at 6:30 am, from revision. Been taking breaks in between from memorising and doing some choreography for a friend's competition. Despite my exam schedule, I'm more than happy to help. I hope I come up with a good one and that the girls will not only impress the judges but also fall in love with dance like I did. I've been trying to express how dancing is for me..the passion I feel, the joy I get from dancing and helping others to dance. I found some quotes online! They're really inspiring and heartwarming..so to mention quirky and with a sense of humour :)

For the amateurs: Don't be afraid to try if you like to dance. I started out with no background..just maybe ping pong to aid wrist flexibility? -grin-

Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance. ~Dave Barry

For the passionate: I felt the same way when I experienced my first contemporary dance..

Dancing is like dreaming with your feet! ~Constanze

For the dreamer: Don't be afraid to try. We all start somewhere..

The truest expression of a people is in its dance and in its music.

Bodies never lie. ~Agnes de Mille

You can dance anywhere, even if only in your heart. ~Author Unknown

For humour: Think hip hop.. -chuckles-

Dancing is wonderful training for girls, it's the first way you learn to guess what a man is going to do before he does it. ~Christopher Morley, Kitty Foyle

To the special someone who has encouraged, stood by me and supported me in all my dance routines: thank you for being my errand man, delivery boy, avid fan, consoler and cheerleader. I couldn't have done what I did, if you weren't there for me when I was at my lowest.
I'm not the best dancer or the prettiest one but you make me feel like one. I'll work even harder after the exams.
To my family, especially Jo and Jas: Thank you for supporting me whenever you can. I love you girls, my darling sisters who have blossomed into talented, gorgeous young ladies. Just to let you girls know, I will be supporting your singing careers too! Believe in yourselves.. -hugs-

jessica alba!

Dearest family and friends, I've found a new love, an "almost-obesssion" - Jessica Alba. She is such a babe! I find myself surfing for her pictures at 3 a.m in the morning and am practically going crazy over her pictures on-line! I hereby proclaim that Jessica Alba is a true hottie..

Alright.. I confess, I'm a little cranky from studying... but she IS HOTSEXYSWEETALLINONELETHALCOMBINATION!

They say she has an ass from God... how true

This is the bikini I'm hunting for. I found a similar top but not the nude bottom. It's gorgeous!

I love the sky blue dress and leather waist belt..chic,sexy,sweet. Oh and that casual outfit too! those shades wouldn't hurt either....

I love the tan, gorgeously defined back and those curves....

I hereby proclaim that I WILL go officially go on a strict diet and exercise regime to get a super toned, tanned, sexy, slim, dancer bod. For the record, Jessica Alba can dance! (think Honey). I issue a challenge to myself, Grace Tye Mei Chee to lose 3 kg and tone up every bit of flab in my 1.62 m and 46 kg frame! Ooooo I gymmed and swam today! -big happy grin- Oh yes I forgot to mention that after my exams, I WILL hunt for that blue dress, perfect skinny jeans and utra tight white tank and that droolworthy bikini!
Three weeks before my diving trip:

Will put up an update on my progress after my dive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My 22nd birthday..

I'm 22! Just celebrated my birthday a few days ago. It was a series of dinner and birthday cakes from my friends and family. The A3 girls at Eusoff planned a surprise party on friday. Siding and I were talking and in came my lovely girls and the sinfullydeliciousandyummy chocolate cake. Ting and the girls painstakingly chose my favourite chocolate cake and ordered pizza with garlic bread. Thank you girls for being the sweetestfunkiestchioest bunch at Eusoff! I'm so proud to have talented, smart, savvy and pretty babes like you as neighbours! Especially to ting.. thank you for organising the mini surprise!

Saturday was spent with family. Had a uber expensive seafood dinner by a famous chef at Joo Chiat Road. The bill came up to $350. I wouldn't say the service and food was good. It was passable but I enjoyed the time with my family. I love my family. They're such an entertaining bunch! There's daddy who can eat anything and make it look good, mummy who's forever saving the best for her girls and my sisters who make the bestest best conversationalist. Girlish gossips... childhood stories...

From left: Joyce, Jasmine, Grace(me), Joan. Do we resemble each other? I get mixed comments all the time, like how we all don't look alike or that we are carbon copies of each other. Some say Jas and I look a like, some say Jo and I. You decide?

Sunday was the BIG day I became officially 22! I think it's also the best time I've ever had with someone. Louis planned a special day out at Sentosa for me and I loved every minute of it. He came over with a gift at 12 midnight. It was a yellow bikini and a yellow invitation card that had instructions on what to bring. It was so sweet!!!!!!!! He got me YELLOW..brightcheeryyellow things! -grins-
Anyways, he came again at 1 pm that afternoon and drove me down to Sentosa. We went crazy taking photographs, went tanning, swam in the sea....

Fish-lips Louie...-smoooocccchh-

Then it came the surprise at 3 :30 pm. He told me he booked an appointment. I thought it was for a show, maybe by the underwater world but I was shocked/pleasantly surprised/touched by his thoughtful arrangement of getting me a massage! It's called fish reflexology where your feet are submerged into a pool of fishes that nibble at the dead cells of your feet. It's supposed to be therapeutic. It was..that's after you get over the fear of fishes and the ticklish nibbles. He said it was to help me get over my fear of fishes.. how sweet!!!!!!!!!!! It leaves your feet all smooth and silky, kind of like a pedicure. After the first stage of massage by the fishes, the masseuse then massages your feet and your body. We left the fish reflexology centre satisfied and refreshed! Next up was chilling out at Cafe Del Mar. We lazed on the bed..Louis had his cold beer and I had my thick juicy fries! We spent most of the time at the Cafe Del Mar's jacuzzi waiting for sunset...

Poser at the reflexology centre

Check out the fishes at his feet! He has more fishes at his feet than I had... he has crummy feet! -wrinkles nose-

At the Jacuzzi.. troll in water...

All relaxed...

Competing with FHM poses....

The day seemed to pass so quickly, especially when I was with him. It was just the both of us... relaxing.. rewarding ourselves, as if we were on a holiday. I felt special... like a princess and so loved especially when it came to dinner at Barnacles, a restuarant by the sea. Not only is the service excellent, I loved the food. It was orgasmically good. The sauces, the perfectly grilled steak, seafood...way better than Indulgz's! Louis baked me a cake as well.. a chocolate cheesecake with oreo base. The waitresses and waiter sang me a birthday song and I couldn't help but blush... thank you darling for being such a sweetheart, for spending hours on the cake, the planning.... the surprises. I'm such a lucky girl!
