Baby, let's get in motion!

Been pretty tied up with dancing lately and I hardly have time for a breather to blog and post my fabulous pictures from Code Edge last weekend, so I'm condensing 3 events into a post! I'll let the pictures do the talking? lovelove :)

Saturday - Code Edge. Supported Margie, Siding, Xilin and of course YUTAKI at Zouk! Even though the price of the ticket was steep, it was worth every cent because the standard of competition was mindblowing!! It was difficult deciding a winner but eventually La Fuse won..Meow!

We sent Flo and Viv off at the airport earlier in the day. They're off to the outbacks of Australia for 3 weeks! Before they left, they surprised Louie and I with our Christmas gifts - homemade tiramisu, a card and a voucher for two at the Fullerton Chocolate Buffet. It was so sweet of the couple...

Our gift

We couldn't resist the aroma of the tiramisu, so we started eating it right smack in the middle of the budget teminal. -grin-

Group shot before they leave
Then it was off to code edge where I met up with the babes from Eusoff. The seniors who graduated came too! It was lovely meeting Naj, Xuewei, Lorraine etc again.

Guess who was the MC of the day..?

.
.
.
.
.
.
-chuckles- Yeap Sheikh Haikel. He got the crowd doing the moment he appeared on stage. He's explosive on stage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's the winner of the solo competition. Zaihal! He beat Yutaki!!!!!!!! -wails-
La Fuse. Great technique, synchronisation, hot toned bodies, wild concept.. they won the judges over!

Left to Right: Margie, Me, Freda, Claudine
Supper/dinner - Ba Kut Teh!!!
It was so good, I ate two bowls of rice!
Sunday - Good luck Chuck!
I loved what Louie was wearing..something about white shirt and jeans..

Dinner at Esteller, Far East

Avocado Chocolate!

Bear and Grace!!!!! Haiiiiyaaakkkkkkk!

Good Luck Chuck was a pretty bad movie. I had to see it because of Jessica Alba. She was drop dead gorgeous in all that fantastic clothes but the movie was terrible. After the movie, I couldn't help thank that Jessica Alba can't seem to act. If Drew Barrymore were to act, the movie might be a little better...
Tuesday - Eusoff dance corps performance, a prelude to dance production
With FredaClaud and Angel :) With some of the boys.
BBQ after the dance. Marshmallows!
Then the bands took over..

Still shuffling in between intensive Blast camp, Dance production practice and teaching Christmas choreo to the girls. I'll update soon!!!!!!!!!!! lovelove..
Peace out!

Dance production practices have been productive recently but with things piling up, stress is kind of heavy on my shoulders. Jason just called me yesterday with regards to choreographing for the girls in church for Christmas. I would have been glad to help but organising the practices have become a chore. These girls have no dance background and to make matters worse, they have a divaish attitude that youngsters possess nowadays. Initially, we agreed upon a dance but it was cancelled due to their bad attitude. As much as I would like to say no to Jason, I know I have no choice but to accept the added responsibility. There were so many if onlies I would like to put it to him.
Do you know that I have dance practice almost every day for 6 hours? On top of that, I have an added responsibility to choreograph and attend my dance blast camp? Do you know that on top of practice, I have to travel from school all the way to sengkang and back to NUS again? That's staying up to 5am daily, waking up at 8:30 am for dance prac, a 3 hour break in between from 12 then it's dancing again till 6:30? Then I have to take a cab to sengkang to teach till 10pm and take a cab back for another practice at 11pm?Do you know that more than anything else, I do not want to teach these girls because they simply don't appreciate the hours spent on choreo, travelling, teaching, cutting and editing the music?
Do you know that I don't appreciate last minute requests? The worse thing is that there will not be full attendance, which means I have to teach the diva separately? When someone pulls out and you just conveniently add two people to replace that one person, do you know that it affects the whole formation?
Please stop calling me 10 times a day and calling non stop because I can't answer the phone when I'm at dance practice. I WILL return the call once I have a break. It is so unfair to travel all the way to sengkang to teach dance when there isn't even a mirror. I don't know how this will go.. I am not optimistic
Please, I do not enjoy this. It is by far the worst experience possible.

Dinner with Joy

Guess who I met up with last night? Yeap supermodel Joy! Haven't seen the dear girl since her birthday and it was such a pleasure catching up. We're planning the Christmas programme you see :) I'm so excited about the party!!! We have a theme, games, fabulous food, lovely guests..ooh I can't wait for Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
While waiting for Joy, Louie and I took a picture...
Joy joined us a while later and she looked really good in an oversized sweater top and black stockings with ivory heels!
She's so enviably slim!! -sigh- she's a runway model you see.. tall and lean!
After our meal.. gosh I'm so tanned now!
Gave Joy a little something :)
Group picture!
Even though it was a short meet up over dinner, I felt happy and energised when I got back. Joy's like the chocolate chips in the cookie, a delight to be with, simply cause she is so genuine. Thanks dear, for coming to dinner despite your busy schedule. -hugs-

Vivian's surprise 21st B'day celebration

It was lovely Vivian's B'day on the 9th, Sunday. Louie and I arrived in Singapore at around 12 am, so I stayed over at his place because it was near the airport. We were brewing a surprise for Vivian! Over at Phuket, we managed to buy some balloons, ribbons and a party pack that came with masks to infuse some fun into the party. Louie and I planned to be chauffeurs for Vivian and Flo for the day and since it was Viv's BIG day, it was planned in secrecy! Thanks to Flo, we managed to keep this from Viv and I'm so glad it went well cause I usually ruin surprises by blurting it out.
Started the day off by wearing the new dress I bought in Phuket!
Teamed it with a weaved belt and I was ready for the surprise!Louie had a cute outfit on. There's just something about washed out jeans and a white based shirt on a tanned guy :) The backpack's mine from the Phuket trip. He's forever the gentleman, carrying my heavy stuff for meFlo started Viv's day by waking her up to a romantic breakfast and surrounded her with the sweetest gifts, from the dress she liked to tiny boxes containing her favourite candies, tissue packs with cutesy birds.. awww..
The "chauffeurs" came in only after breakfast. We surprised Viv at their apartment lobby!

Viv was elated to see us. It has been a while since we last met up due to my exams.
We filled the car with ballons and pretty white ribbons with dashes of gold for the princess! She looked so pretty!
Viv and Flo.. Flo booked a couple spa session for Viv at Holland Village. Louie and I had 2.5 hours to spare, so we took our time over lunch and went for coffee + dessert at Coffee Club.

Lunch was Ipoh Hor Fun. It was delicious and we stuffed our faces devouring every bit of what we ordered.

Evidence. Devour wasn't exaggerating..-chuckles-

Chilling at Coffee Club
On top of our coffee, we had a mudpie and a triple decker brownie! The mudpie was hug!!!
Met up with Flo and Viv after their massage and it was time for our gift to Viv! It was hair treatment + cut at color bar, Holland Village. Viv mentioned she wanted a haircut once and she said her hair was a little on the dry side so I told Flo about the plan of taking her to the hairdresser's for a nice haircut before she leaves for Australia this Saturday. Notice the disappearance of my belt? I was so full and my tummy strained against the discomfort from the tight waist belt... so I got rid of it. hehe Flo playing around with the hair steaming thingy..Viv had layered bangs. She looked a lot fresher, so pretty!!!!!!! We all loved her new look! Her length remained cause Flo likes long hair but her hair had much more layers and it gave her a lighter look.
Tada!
Dinner at Villa Bali. Flo reserved one of the nicest spots :)More food! Dearie, Viv was so happy that day and I'm glad we got to be a part of it. She is one of the most genuine and kind person I've met and I'm thankful for your help in planning for her big day. It just warms my heart to see my treasured friends smile and thank you dearie...
I love you. :)

Phuket getaway

Hello everyone! I'm back from sunny Phuket with a killer tan! I had the most wonderful time with Louie, from being a sand slug on Khai island, to hours of shopping and I have so many pictures to share! Be prepared for a really long post.. -grin-

At the Budget terminal. It was my first time flying by Tiger Airways and I was pleasantly surprised at how decent the budget terminal was. It was more than decent I would say, it was well equipped with internet kiosks and well furnished with lovely, comfy chairs -happy smile-

Day 1 - Arrival
After 1.5 hours in the plane, we arrived at our gorgeous hotel! Our room in Mercure hotel was so lovely! They had this HUGE bathroom with a bathtub and a SEE THROUGH screen.I suppose it was made for visitors who would like to watch TV while soaking in their tub OR it could be that the designer that KINKIER thoughts -chuckles-
The spacious bathroom and our awesome LCD TV!

The view from our room.
Then it was time for lunch. Guess what? Our very first meal in the land of Tom Yum soup was actually... -gasp- Indian Food - Louie's must have! We had the usual but delicious butter masala chicken and naan :)
After lunch, we walked around a bit. I couldn't resist taking pictures of the christmas decorations! They had a pinky theme going round.

Proceeded on to booking our dive trip to Racha Noi and the island tour to Phi Phi islands.
Our hotel!
Chilling out at the pool. It had a jacuzzi too!

Random shots of the bath robes provided :)

Day 2 - Diving
Louie and I were too tired that evening due to accumulated weariness from exams in my case and work for his. I woke him up for breakfast the next morning! I loved the breakfast!!!
The driver picked us up promptly at around 7:30 am and we headed over to the mini ferry. Clowning around
Relaxing at the front deck.
Our dive equipment at the lower deck

Louie took a snapshot of me sleeping! He took this secretly too. I love the picture , the 2 of us relaxing and enjoying.
After the dive, some hot chocolate!
yum...
He looks kinda cute here!

The dive trip ended at around 4ish. We went back to our hotel and changed up for dinner in Phuket Town!

I have a weakness for Mac's ice cream. I get all happy and smiley!

Our first seafood meal at a very good price!

Thumbs up!

Shopped around a little.. Then it was Thai massage at night

Our funky PJs!

Day 3 - Island Tour

While waiting for our speedboat
Maya Bay!!!!!!!! Crystal Clear waters!

stopover for lunch
I got really tanned after the island tour.. back to Mercure at 5ish and we changed up for dinner again! I had my new earrings on! Louie got them for me and it was only 20 baht! That's less than 1 sing dollar!Shopped around..
Dinner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pad Thai!
Extra Spicy Tom Yum!

Our favourite fresh, succulent steamed fish with lime juice, tonnes of garlic, lemon grass and chilli!
Thai Green curry
Phuket offers the freshest seafood at incredibly low prices! Just look at the size of the prawns...eeeks

Phuket's night life. I was intrigued by the LADYBOYS!
The ladyboy with the T-Back was hot!
The one with the lacy top was a little too agressive. She kept baring her breasts.
Awww..we were so tired after the long day. Louie surprised me by preparing a hot bath for me, completed with tealights we bought. It was a lot darker and more romantic.. I couldn't capture the feel due to the flash of my camera. He even had soft music going on..awww...

Day 4 - Back to the Lion City
Wore my favourite bareback top

Ice cream!
My favourite shot :)
the DOUBLE big mac..
Throughout the last 3 days, Louie bought so much for me cause there wasn't anything that caught his eye. I was really happy when he found stuff he liked in a mall on the last day.. Foot massage to soothe our aching feet

Dinner !
The steamed fish with lime juice again. I kinda miss it already...

I found a useful function for colour accent. The chili was so hot that it turned my tongue pink! Louie's remained normal because his tolerance for spices was a lot higher than mine.

Dynamic Friendship.

Hi World! My last paper if officially conquered! Off to Phuket in 3 hours. My marketing paper ended at 3 pm today and I met two wonderful people for dinner - Pei Huan and Desmond. They're seriously a dynamic duo, teasing each other mercilessly the moment they met each other. Then again, I think it's the way they show affection towards each other. Dinner was at Waraku central and I haven't got much to show because the lighting was a tad too dim and yellow in the restaurant. The pictures of the food didn't come out too good but I got lovely shots of the two friends. Attractive people don't need that great a lighting to look hot in pictures.. -grin- Pei Huan, looking impeccable once again in her vest with an intricate brooch layered over a white crisp blouse and grey jeans in stretch. Desmond looked mighty attractive in his casual T-shirt and jeans get up too. The poor guy lost quite a bit of weight. I think he needs more loving from girlies... he's such an attractive guy but currently single. I'm not selling him but honestly, he's a guy that can be a listener, but when it comes to fun, he's hilarious with annecdotes.

Pei Huan looks so sweet here. A pity the lighting was too dim :(
So cute!
I love this candid shot of Desmond. It sort of captures a soft, attractive side of him
Our food. There was a lot more..A group shot ourside Central, the new mall at Clark Quay. Currently, the shops are still opening in phases so it's a little lifeless inside the mall.Candid shot!..look at Desmond's expression! teeheehee!!

Dear Pei Huan and Desmond,

Thank you for spending the simple but spectacular evening with me. It left me with a warm, fuzzy feeling because of how special both of you are. Thank you for being genuine.

XOXO,
Grace

Over-prepared?

2nd last paper down. My final paper tomorrow at 1:00 pm! I feel horrible cause I could have done better in my paper today. I lost 12marks and in a miserable way too! I was feeling pretty good when I overheard people commenting on certain questions which they couldn't do but I kind of spotted them during revision and it was easy breezy. BUT sometimes I have to say I'm a total clown. Question 1. Shape of the module due to ligands. They were bulky ligands so the shape should have been tetrahedral. I knew it was tetrahedral but thought it COULDN't be that simple and put down square planar! The accumulated marks lost in relation to this minor part lost tabulated to 12 marks. -wails-
Grace Tye! When will you ever learn! No chocolates or dessert for you tomorrow!

Happy belated 14th month anni!

Dearie,

Thank you for coming with dinner tonight. It was the most delicious popiah and cheesecake combination ever! It helps calm the exam jitters and ease the stress. It has been more than a year since we've first started this relationship and I'm still falling deeper in love with you each day.

Before I get carried away and turn even more mushy, happy belated 14th month anni.

I love you.

-hugs-

Jas's 20th B'day and Mummy's early 54th B'day celebration

My beloved sister,

Happy 20th birthday. God has placed you in my life, to be my darling sister for life, where our sisterly bond shared means more than any earthly riches.
When we were young, we used to fight and call each other nasty names. We would be up to all sorts of mischiefs and got canned together. When you were physically smaller, I bullied you and made you cry. Now that I'm older and have become more sensible, I don't want to make you cry. I want to be the one that wipes away your tears and be the one to cheer you on in every aspect of your life.
I'm proud of you, not because you performed well on Singapore Idol, but because you shine like a star in my life. You're the calm, sensible one, the one who I can turn to when it comes to boys, clothes and friendship issues.
I love you Jas, from the priceless childhood days, to emerging to the young, gorgeous lady you are today.
I want you to know that you're my friend, my sister, my listener, my encourager.. and I love you for that always and always.
Love,
Er Jie

Dinner at Waraku-Katong. Instead of the usual fanfare of seafood, Jas suggested dining at Waraku, a mighty fine value for money restaurant. The quality, service and variety of food offered were simply MAGNIFICENT!!
Wai Po(grandma) and Er Yi (2nd Aunt) came too!
Jo, Er Yi, Joyce, Phillip and I were early. The T.Y.E family came in two vehicles. Early birds take pictures with Jo's new camera from monster.. Aww.. it's a gorgeous sony camera.
Then Wai Po, Jas, Daddy and Mummy came!

We were famished and ordered tonnes of food. Every single one of them was mouthering tummystatisfyingorgasmiscally good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Evidence : Look at my Daddy! -chuckles-
After the meal, it was the cake cutting session for Jas and an early one for Mum. We'll be celebrating mum's birthday again after my exams! Making the wishes..

One candle for each!

Mum loved her Bonia bag and wallet!

The more "toned-down" shots of my family..
Crazy shots! Not too well taken though
Look at my dad!! -chuckles- Thumbs up!!
Any resemblance among the four? :)
I'm so proud of my beautiful sisters..
Christmas is approaching!!!!!! Christmas - a time that is white and wintery.. a sight that is spectacular, spangled and sparkly.. families and friends that come loving and laughing.. my favourite time of the year is approaching!
It's a season to be jolly..falalalala lalalala!
Goodnight world!
xoxo,
Grace out!
