Louie's new car!

Louis bought a new car! A white Mazda 3 hatchback. It looks really good! I'm happy not because we get to travel further or because things are more convenient now, but I'm happy because Louis will be able to have more rest! Watching him lose weight due to stress at work, hardly having time for meals makes my heart wrench.
Just to gloat. I was his first passenger!!! - big happy grin- He came after a long tiring day at work and drove me to chomp chomp after my gym session. I love you dearie!!

The exciting interior!
Coerced to pose as a race queen in my gym attire!!! -frowns-
And here we are, happy and smiley. Love is the greatttessst feeling in the world!
Dear Lord,
Thank you for service on Sunday. Thank you for Pei Huan who came early to queue up in order to get seats for my whole family. Thank you for Alethea and Louis who came.
Amen.

Kinky French Dinner?

Hello world! I just had to blog about my Fancy French dinner at Au Petite Salute. I loved the ambience and the food was tummysatisfyingorgasmicallygood!! -grin- We had a little competition within the Ogilvy DHL team. The theme was 'glam' night and we had to dress up in sexy, glam dresses.

I'm glad I made it to the dinner because I WON!!!!!! My prize was edible bras and panties and a box of condoms! How kinky is that? -grin-

That saturday night, I suffered from puffy eyes from crying. I cried for 2 hours and to add to horrible my puffy, tear-stained face, I was pale and weak due to my cramps! (My monthly thing)

Panadol and the Ogilvy DHL team gave me the strength to get out of bed, put on a dress I found and some make up. I still looked terrible though.. but I won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -beams-

I miss the girls..

Jac doing conducting the survival ritual of opening up the written votes.
A little flushed and thrilled at my gift!!!!!!!!!!

I had such a great time. Thank you for the wonderful time despite my terrible day girls.. :) I miss you all so much

Byz - Nudge for a free testimonial. says:
Grcae thinks ahead about what life she would like to have, and takes concrete actions towards them. Hopefully, when we have a chat after we graduate, i would be able to hear about you enjoying the choices you have chosen.

Ben
grace says:
thanks.......

Ben, thank you so much for being my best lunch partner at Ogilvy. Here's my testimonial for you..

Ben, my cute boy from Union Camp, someone I lost contact with but found him back at Ogilvy. He's my lunch partner, my listening ear. Ben's a thinker and a little bit of a dreamer. He oozes charisma with that dimpled smile and I simply cannot help but say this... Ben has a hot bod! He's not skinny, has abs.. very droolworthy!

Ben's very generous and behaves like a gentleman. He's like what Uncle Weng would say, a good boy. A killer combination to bring home to mum.

Ben, I'm going to miss you so much. Leave me your Amsterdam address please! Update your blog too and yes when you're back, I'm going to buy you Changi's nasi lemak!!!!

-big hug-

Millionaire salad

The Millionaire salad from the Big O. It's by far the most disappointing salad I've had. It isn't millionairsh at all! I love my vegetables and I like them raw, plain and crunchy with a tad bit of tuna or meat for flavour. I miss the generous servings of vegetables from Bintan! :(

Pool Party at Florian's

A long overdued post. It was a pool session + farewell for Anna who was going back to Austria. Florian generously invited us to his chic, trendy apartment for a pot-luck session. We then had red wine at the rooftop jacuzzi and pool :)

We came after work, in our office attire. Hence the formality.

Food at our pot-luck session
Herbert..

Anna came with the cake. Coco Exotic from Four Leaves bakery. It is orgasmically good!

Gorgeous setting at the rooftop pool. It overlooks the buildings and gives a serene feel

pool session ended at around 2 am and we had to go, we had a big group hug. I miss Anna.

Farewells make me feel so sad... I miss Anna, the ever cheerful and sincere friend. She never fails to brighten up the room with her presence. She's back in Austria now, back to her family and the comfort of her home. I'll visit you soon dear!

Bintan Trip - Part 2

More updates and pictures! We didn't get to dive as there were problems with the resort's BCD. We went snorkelling instead! -gasp- fishes...... I refused to feed the fishes because they'll swim up to me and I have a fear of fishes! Snorkelling in Bintan isn't all that fantastic, the visibility and species of fishes were rather limited. You pay a lot for it so I would suggest renting the snorkelling equipment and kayaking to your own spot to snorkel!

Louis says I look like a frog fish whenever I put on the mask. I want to look like a princess, not a frog! -wails-

Nananibooboo..I'm not a frog fish!

Look at the fishes attacking the bread!!!!

My very first attempt at wakeboarding in the open sea.

His turn!

Luxurious pool sessions with mocktails, finger-licking good food!

These boys made me laugh non stop. They were competing with each other as they jumped into the pool.. I mean dive? -laughs- Super-power poses!!

Pool sessions were spent honing out shooting techniques to prep ourselves for NBA tryouts!! hehe
She shoots... she scores...
He tries to equalize!!

Pictures from Trikora Beach. A place more for the locals...

Then it was dinner at Pasa Oleh Oleh before we left Bintan. A simple, less pricey meal of seafood fried rice and sambal kangkong...

My experiment with big, full shots for my blog. Would this be better than the smaller ones?

xoxo,

grace

Bintan Trip Part 1

Good Sunday to you! -big happy smile- It's been ages since I last blogged and I apologise for the emo nemo entry. I was a tad bit down that day and writing somehow helped. A BIG thank you to my dearest POK, JH, Siding, Ben and the few others that left encouraging messages on my blog and my cell phone. I'm back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Armed with lots of smiles, energy and a TAN!!! yippeee yoolee yay!

Bintan was pretty much a cookie cutter holiday. It's more for the tourist, not the traveller. The gigantic resorts are self-sufficient, armed with an array of activities from water sports, to diving, to dirt-bike racing, to achery..-wink- you get what I mean. It's very expensive though.. everything is paid in Sing $$ and it's a lot more pricey compared to what you get in Singapore. They don't sell instant noodles at their convenience stall in order to encourage consumptions from their cafes and restaurants. They food and beverages served in the cafes and restaurants are generally better than average. In fact, I enjoyed the food very much! So did Louis :)

An advice for general folks looking for a laid back holiday: Bintan is gorgeous but be prepared to pay a little more for everything else. Don't travel out of your resort unless you're in a BIG group because there are no cabs for hire, unlike the abundance of taxis in Singapore. The hotel chaters them and you HAVE to take their vehicles, paying about $125 for half a day's rent.

Ready for the adventure??!??! Here goes!!

Louis and me!! All smiley and fresh for our trip! -big grin- My current favourite colour is white and I wore white throughout my trip!!

Ooppps? -laughs uncontrollably- Fashion Faux!!
.
.

. Introducing the 2 contestants - Grace and Louis. Who looks worse? You decide!

Louis and I had half an hour to kill before we could check into the Bintan Ferry Terminal. This was taken at the Factory Outlet store just beside the Ferry Terminal at the very end of our trip. I begged Louis to try on the outrageous shirt for me and he agreed only if I wore something hilarious in return. Hence... we each had a choice of 4 items to dress the other party up!!! I think I won!! He looks like a GANGSTER- HIP HOP- PUFF DADDY- WANNABE!!!!!!

Laughing uncontrollably as we emerged from our changing rooms

That's me!!!!!! I was laughing so hard before I came out because I looked so funny! Louis heard me laugh from where he was standing!

Sorry.. back to the trip! hehe..a nice bit of distraction there I hope? A good laugh to brighten up your day?

Back to breakfast at Kiliney Kopitiam. The boy had 4 eggs!!!!!!!

Posing while we waited for our ferry.

The ferry ride took about an hour! Here is our gorgeous gorgeous resort!!!!!

Aye Aye Captain!!

After soaking ourselves silly in the sea, we sneaked into the golf course! I was still in my BIKINI!! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkksssssssssssss :)

We spent most of the time at the beach and by the pool. The food and beverages were yummy!

We wanted to have a special dinner and found out that the resort served this fantastic dinner by the beach! Not only was it a buffet dinner with endless supply of Indonesian dishes, there were huge succulent prawns, fishes and other seafood to complement! The service by the smiley staff made us feel like royalty AND there were several dance and singing performances put up throughout the whole dinner! A wonderful experience!!!!!!!!!!

After the luxurious dinner, it was a walk by the beach. We were intrigued by the little sea creatures we found at night. Louis became a little boy. His eyes lighted up when he found the crab! It was eating a green bug when we decided to observe it.
Back in our rooms.. the deluxe room was so spacious.. we had our own coffee area!
When we travelled out. I had ice cream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's half an entry for now. I have so many pictures to share! I'll put them up again real soon! I have to show you my snorkelling pictures, wakeboarding ones too and all the lovely lovely shots!!

Dearie,

Thank you for the wonderful trip. You remind me again on how and why I fell in love with you. Thank you for standing by me during the good and bad times. Thank you for being the special guy in my life :)

A moment of randomness

It's one of those days when you come back from comforting a friend that it hits you--you're the one in need of a refuge. Just had a call from a good friend I got to know recently. Being a girl isn't easy sometimes. You get a call from a friend who needs you and knowing you shouldn't wallow in self pity, you muffle your tears, put up a cheery voice and give all the listening ear and advice like nothing bad happened.
I wished that it didn't too.. I want so much..so much for the people around me to be happy. I enjoy being happy, positive, but things just hit you all at once. That's when I think my walls start to crumble. I don't wish to see anyone or do anything but just seek the comfort of retreating in my own room, my own world.
Suddenly, it's not just Him, not just friends, all that's bothering you come crashing in. Reality sinks in. It'll all be right in a few hours' time, after a good night's rest but right now, the few hours before you become oblivious to the world is the most difficult
I just got 2 more messages... Dear Lord, I need your strength right now.. I'm so tired....
